MFU 40-50 HiCAFS “Barracuda” is a compact, motorized, high-performance CAFS unit specifically designed for Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIVs). Its adaptable, space-saving design makes it ideal for installation on a wide range of small and agile emergency response vehicles.
Thanks to its variable tank configuration, MFU 40-50 HiCAFS can be customized to fit nearly any vehicle platform. It offers multiple firefighting modes—Water, Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS), and Spray mode—enabling operators to respond effectively to various fire scenarios with maximum flexibility and control.
MOTORIZED RIV CAFS UNIT
Its compact size makes it easy to fit onto small vehicles such as ATVs, small vans or offroad vehicles. With a mere weight of 120 kg it can be installed almost anywhere. It is an ideal device for factory fire departments at large company premises, on festival grounds or big production halls where small vehicles are used to be on site as fast as possible before large fire engines even arrive.
The system starts up in seconds and can create up to 12 litres of foam from 1 litres of water. Its high output and high-pressure jet guarantee a safe distance from the fire. 25 metres hydraulic hose on the in-built semi-automatic hose reel offers additional mobility.
Compact CAFS High-Performance
MFU 40-50 HiCAFS is designed for installation on any existing RIV. Depending on the size of the vehicle, an operator can choose different water tanks and SKID sizes for a perfect final fit.
Amphibious Vehicle with CAFS Unit
The compact design also enables installation on unusual means of transport.
MFU 40-50 HiCAFS can be installed on off-road vehicles such as the Argo 8x8, so firefighting in difficult terrains like remote forest areas becomes possible.
